I grew up in Bangor, Maine, but moved around a lot in my adulthood.  I’m now residing in beautiful Evergreen, CO, in a rural neighborhood on a dirt road, which suits me fine.  My winding professional path had its roots in my childhood when my parents would take my brother and me on outdoor adventures nearly every weekend.  In college, I majored in Geology and did a semester on a sailboat in the Atlantic Ocean, studying global currents.  I decided the best way to answer the Call of the Wild was to get a Master’s degree in Outdoor Recreation Business Administration at Aurora University outside Chicago, after which I moved to southern Illinois to intern at an Outdoor Center.

Ironically, it was here that my career began to morph. I took a temp position doing data entry for an aluminum factory in Murphysboro, where I learned not only ten-key but data audit basics. I loved it, and therefore, I like to think I was an early adopter of our now data-driven environment.

Back to aluminum - while the data struck a chord, I also knew my future was not in the aluminum business.  I moved back to Maine, spending five years working for an outdoor and sporting goods retailer in proximity to the beauty of Acadia National Park.  Eventually, I was promoted to the position of Outdoor Buyer, which gave me a solid foundation in both retail business management and merchandising.

That foundation gave me the opportunity to join The North Face as a merchandising coordinator, where I got to travel across New England to enhance the brand’s presentation in over 200 stores.  After six months, I heard about an opening as Sales Planner at The North Face’s HQ in Carbondale, CO.  I applied, was accepted, and took the iconic “West or Bust!” trip across the US.

The new position returned me to my data analytics background, and that springboarded me from sales planning into sales operations and from Colorado to the Bay Area, and back to Colorado over nearly 25 years with the company.

When The North Face was purchased by VF in 2000, I moved into customer service before finally being assigned to implement The North Face’s first B2B site in 2002.

This was a career-defining moment because from that initial B2B site, I created VF’s B2B department, adding staff and brands until 2022, when I decided to change things up with a short stay on Elastic by Emerald’s product team before striking out on another “West or Bust!” type adventure - entrepreneurship.

I’ve realized how much experience and knowledge I have about B2B wholesale technology, software implementations, and Agile development processes. My varied history and experiences in manufacturing, retail, data management, and technology integrations have prepared me well.

I’m excited to provide my customers with top-notch, customized solutions, and I look forward to working with YOU to solve the big business challenges that are keeping your B2B operation from the next level.
